Your data stays with you
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Take Your Time is designed so app and Screen Time data stay on your device. There is no user account, analytics, or advertising.
What the app uses and where it stays
- Apps or categories you choose and Screen Time data, such as how often you open an app and for how long, are used through Apple's Screen Time API to show the mindful pause and your private statistics. This data never leaves your device, is never shared, and is never used for advertising.
- What you record in the app, such as choices to enter or not, intents, feelings, necessary-use reasons, onboarding answers, intentions, and breathing practice, is stored only in the app's storage on your device.
- Usage lines (if you allow nudges): the app asks Screen Time to tell it when today's use of your chosen apps reaches 30, 60, or 120 minutes. It keeps only which line was reached each day, with no actual minutes and no app names, to ask whether you would like nudges and to send them if you say yes. This stays on your device.
- Take Your Time has no server, no user account, no usage analytics, and no advertising.
Feedback you choose to send
When you tap “Send feedback to the team,” the app prepares a message containing only what you entered and the app version. You review it and choose whether to send it through email or another app. No app-usage or Screen Time data is attached. We use the message to improve the app, and you can ask us to delete it using the email below.
This website
The policy above describes data inside the Take Your Time app. This support website has no account, form, or analytics. It does load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser may send technical request data such as an IP address and user agent to Google when you open a page. That request is not connected to Take Your Time or Screen Time data on your device.
Deleting data
Deleting the app removes all data stored in Take Your Time's app container. You can revoke Screen Time access in Settings › Screen Time.
Children
The app is designed for adults managing their own phone use. It is not designed to control another person's device.
